AI Dungeon is a game/tool/toy which uses an artificial-intelligence program to try to infer what the next possible text in a story might be. It was created in late 2019 by using a massive amount of adventure stories and text-based-adventure logs to train a GPT-based neural net. AI Dungeon is a cutting-edge experiment in content generation, and can be used in a multitude of ways to generate a literally infinite number of unique stories.

Reference Manual You can find detailed information about every feature of AI Dungeon on this site. Adventures are individual stories within AI Dungeon; they are automatically saved to the "My Stuff" page of your account. Scenarios are in-depth, customizable templates for adventures. Worlds are a newer play method which try to build a deeper, more active world than the default scenarios. Commands are written alternatives to the buttons above the input bar, prefixed by /. Input Type determines how your input is handled before being processed by the AI. Game Modes allow the user to determine what tools, rules, limitations, and conditions should apply when interacting with the AI. Settings menu is where you can customize how AI Dungeon works. Advanced Perspective defaults to Second Person, but can be First, Third, or even Neutral.
